Where does call history date/time come from?

It has been a while since I have posed this question. Is it at all possible yet to have an agent choose at the desktop level a number of groups they would like to login to as opposed to ALL groups. In other words if they are an agent in 3 groups can they login to just 2 instead of all or nothing?

We just upgraded from 13.3 to 14.2 build 19.43.7902. We had done our pre-req and testing on an earlier build but went to 19.43.7902 at the last minute because of reported problems with BSOD, Communicator crashes. After installing 19.43.7902, we are experiencing Communicator crashes when an Outlook 2007 user adds or modifies contacts from Communicator. Trying to get support, we are told that as of this build, Shoretel no longer supports Outlook 2007.

Does anyone know of a workaround? Is anyone on this build and successfully using Outlook 2007? Most of our user base is on Outlook 2007. We prefer not to use a previous Communicator v14.2 because of all the reported issues with BSOD, etc.

How do I clear the call history on a ShoreTel 230?

I use a ShoreTel 230 phone at the office. I am just a user, not an administrator. I can't seem to find a way to clear/delete numbers from my call history. None of the soft keys appear to be designated as Delete like they seem to be on other ShoreTel phones. When I click on the Redial button and select a number, the only soft keys options I have are Dial or Cancel.

I have nothing to hide, I just don't want random people (like the cleaning crew for example) being able to look at my call history when I am out of the office and getting my personal numbers.

I've tried numerous searches on Google to find an answer, but found nothing. Is it just not possible?

Hello all. ShoreTel newbie here. Currently running Director v12.3 on 2008 R2. One of our clinics has been complaining about dropped calls etc so in my investigations I discovered one of our switches states: "loss of signal" and "out of frame" under the Link section on the switch maintenance screen. Can someone explain what this means?? I'll attach the screenshot...

Emergency Evacuation Setting for ShoreTel ECC

Hi there

I have a ShoreTel ECC setup running two groups. I'm looking for suggestions about what can be done during emergency evacuations.

Previously when we were running on Workgroups, the supervisor used to force Off-Hours and all callers got a message that we were not able to answer their calls because of emergency evacuation. Is there a such setup for ECC? I would prefer something quick that the Supervisor can do before hurrying out of the building.

I've added the Sysbase Datawindow PS printer as per the guide from ShoreTel but still getting error "Cannot export the report to the "C:\Users\XXX\Desktop\XXX.PDF" file".

I've also noticed that when I try to print something else on the same GhostScript Printer (Sysbase Datawindow PS), the output file extension is ".prn" instead of ".PDF".

Any ideas?

Does anyone know how to do this or if its possible? I know how to do it via the mute commands but was wondering if this can be done remotely via Director or telnet/ssh? If telnet or ssh, does anyone know the password or the command to enable telnet? I attempted to enable via the phonectl tool on the server but get a Authenticate Error.

Vitual Switch using as hunt group resources - Spec

Whe you read the planning doc it says you can have 1000 phones - or 40 hunt groups, 160 hunt group users, 16 users per hunt group.
However when you start putting on hunt groups it starts to complain that you have over 16 members total - like a physical switch.
I called into TAC and they told me that a virtual switch is the same as a physical - and the doc is wrong.
I talked to our TAM and he told me he believes that it is just a default message and to follow the specs.
Anyone else have any experience on using virtual switches as resources ?

When attempting to save an imported .wav file to use as a queue prompt, I receive "workgroup greeting prompt file does not exist". Could this be caused by incorrect codec/format?

UC20 new build can't login to ShoreTel Support

Hello it's been a while since i posted a question so here goes:
When using a freshly minted UC20 server I found that when you use it to navigate to the ShoreTel website (either to log a support case, or download a new build) when you come to login to the ShoreTel support site, it just loops back to the login page and you are not logged in.
ShoreTel's hopeless first line support have suggested that I download all the ShoreTel logs and want to verify my licenses in order to proceed - quite how that is going to help when ShoreTel hasn't been installed yet I am not clear.
It seems to be related to IE, since if I install Chrome or Firefox everything is fine.
I tried adding *.shoretel.com to the trusted sites as well in case it was IE not liking a ShoreTel flavoured cookie or something.

Any thoughts on what might fix this?

Vonage Simulring and Shoretel

Here is my situation, I got 3 Shoretel phones that I use in my home. Basically I took my home phone number and ported it into my office phone system to avoid having to pay AT&T $45 per month for a land line.

As it works now, my home phone rings into a hunt group and all 3 phones including a 4th one at my office ring at the same time.

Just recently I got Vonage and it came with 4 portable handsets. Im trying to use the Simulring feature so when someone calls my Vonage number it rings both my Vonage number and the number I have assigned to my hunt group.

I get 1 ring on the Vonage phone and then the call is transfered to the shoretel phones.

I spent 2 hours on the phone with Vonage Tech support and they have no clue, I think the shoretel is picking up the line when it goes into the hunt group which is causing the issue, eventhough the line sounds like its continuing to ring.

Any suggestions?

Shoretel 230g endpoint over VPN

We are trying to deploy a 230g endpoint at a field office back to our HQ SG90, (without a VPN concentrator. Our network administrators refuse to setup a Voice VLAN for this site because they feel their is plenty of bandwidth without the use of VLANs. The PC is connected to the phone and the phones works at first. After a while, (different spans of time) within an hour the phone will Freeze and the PC connection drops. Mute codes or nothing works, and the only thing you can do, is unplug and reboot the phone. Any advice? Also, how to convince network administrators to add a VLAN? They want to know the exact benefit. Thanks in advance!

SA-100 Desktop Sharing VPresent Error

Has anyone seen this error when trying to launch desktop sharing from an SA-100 (virtual machine)? I have tried this under Win 7 and 8.1, IE 8, 9, 10, 11 and 11 enterprise mode, all return the same error.

We're on 14.2.

Our call center occasionally has to record calls so we created a button called REC that sends them to a mailbox, and the mailbox is set to email the wav to a central user (we have to save them for 5 years I believe). This would quickly fill up the mailbox, so in Class of Service (for this user group) I set Auto-Delete to 18 days for saved/unheard, and 7 days for Heard (they're rarely "Heard").

The VMs seem to be auto-deleted because I haven't cleaned up the mailbox (and I'd be the only one who knows how) in probably 6 months, but only 2 months are in their mailbox. So, if the auto-delete setting isn't controlling it, what is?

Is there an easy way to link this page to a wall monitor display? I'd like to see red when a switch is lost, but don't have the space on my desktop to keep it active all the time. Yes, I do have email alerts setup, but I'm seeking a visual monitor.

Is there a way to audit users voicemail boxes to check for recorded names? I really do not want to punch in 186 user names into ATDT to make sure they have their names recorded.

Voicemail boxes are on the HQ and ShoreGear Voicemail switches.

Hi I feel like I'm missing something easy, but, I have a 800 number, a loop line and an overflow queue all going to the same group of people, how do I prioritize which calls are most important? I want it to be, loop line (transfers from my call center) then the 800 number then overflow calls.
